Types of furniture for events
First of all, we must consider the structure of our event: Will there be conferences in any room? Will there be an aperitif break? Is the food included in the same space? By answering these questions we can divide the space by zones, to analyze the specific needs of each one.
Area for conferences, talks, workshops, shows…
This is the most important area of the event. It is where “the action” will take place: where the conferences, workshops or whatever is the central axis of your event will be held. What should we take into account when choosing the furniture for this space?
– If the room is empty, the first thing to do is to think about the chairs for the attendees. Here we tell you how to choose the best model. Keep in mind how many attendees you expect and make sure they will be comfortable.
– Think about what the speakers or attendees will need. You may need to set up a lectern on the stage or in the exhibition area, but you may also need a table or even a bookshelf.
Food, break, or lunch area

– If you are going to offer a coffee and something to eat between different parts of your event, as well as if you opt for a small appetizer (or lunch) or cocktail, choosing high tables is a sure hit. It will help attendees to have a point of support, but by not being “rigid”, without forcing them to sit down, you will favor networking and relationships among them.
– If, on the other hand (or in a complementary way) you are going to offer a traditional lunch, the best option is to use traditional tables and chairs, which guarantee comfort.
Exhibitors area, stands, networking…
You may need an area where some suppliers can exhibit their products. Or a networking area, where attendees have a meeting space. In any case, this space should also have tables and chairs that favor these synergies.
